ABOUT SRKM
Pandit
Brahamanand is the spiritual head and priest in charge of the Shri
Rama - Krishna Mandir. He presides over the weekly Sunday morning
Satsang from 10:00 am to 12 noon, as well as on special occasions,
and, auspicious days.
Panditjee fervently, and emphatically believes that a god centered
life is a prescription to promise, inner harmony, understanding, peace
and prosperity. Furthermore, in a world of struggles, challenges, and
uncertainties, Pandit Bram truly affirms that religion is not only a
pivot, but a source of inner spiritual strength, guidance, hope and
optimism. This is evident in his style of preaching, and
interpretation of the Hindu scriptures. His sermons are universal with
the underlying objective that man is a superior specie who can harness
his god given potential in the creation of a better world—a world of
love, kindness, harmony, forbearance and happiness.
Pandit Bram is also a chemistry, and math graduate with a masters
degree in education. Currently, he is a senior full time High school
math instructor in the New York City school system.
Shri Rama-Krishna Mandir (SRKM) is located in Sunset Park,
Brooklyn, New York. The goal is to promote Hindu religion, music and
culture. We have come a far way since the inception of SRKM, and week
after week, congregational worship has provided the medium for some of
our children and adults to realize their potential in the field of
music, rituals, and a good understanding of HINDUISM; it’s philosophy,
universal appeal, and application.
